FLIGHTMED CBT AVIATION MEDICINE TRAINING PROGRAMME

Flight Medicine Systems' FlightMed CBT system is our flagship aviation medicine training program. It is supplied as a completely stand-alone computer-based training system.

This CBT aviation medicine training system allows an individual to undergo comprehensive aviation medicine training via the customer's intranet system or on a dedicated training computer. The CBT program incorporates a learning management system and student database, and includes knowledge review capabilities.

The FlightMed CBT package combines sophisticated multimedia tools with sound, video, images and comprehensive theory materials.

AVIATION MEDICAL TRAINING MODULES

The FlightMed CBT's academic information is modular, and customers can choose specific modules based on the nature of their flight operations. The academic modules include:

  • Altitude physiology
  • Hypoxia effects
  • Decompression
  • Spatial-disorientation awareness and recognition
  • Visual illusions
  • Fatigue in air operations and its management
  • Human factors
  • Crew resource management
  • Motion sickness
  • Fitness to fly
  • First aid
  • Passenger health issues
  • Night-vision devices
  • G awareness and protection
  • Ejection
  • Survival
  • Environmental conditions

The FlightMed CBT system is designed for civil and military applications, fixed-wing and rotary-wing operations, and single-pilot or multi-crew environments.

AVIATION MEDICINE AND PHYSIOLOGY TRAINING

The FlightMed CBT aviation medical training system includes full installation and integration support, as well as an update service and support centre. It allows pilots and aircrew to significantly increase their knowledge of aviation medicine and physiology in a cost-effective, time-efficient and user-friendly manner.

FLIGHT RECOVERY RE-HYDRATION PRODUCT

Flight Recovery™ is a new Australian product that is specifically designed to minimise the dehydration that can occur with long-haul air travel. This product helps you arrive at your destination feeling less dehydrated and fatigued, and helps minimise the effects of jet lag.

Flight Recovery is an all-natural re-hydration product which contains no artificial colours or flavours. Flight Recovery has the optimum balance of ingredients for rapid re-hydration, because it reinstates the essential minerals lost through long-haul flight.

JET-LAG PREVENTION SOLUTION

Taken every four hours with 200ml of water, each 12g sachet of Flight Recovery re-hydration solution contains a unique, all-natural blend of carbohydrates, electrolytes and amino acids which dissolves instantly to provide a refreshing in-flight solution to the problem of on-board dehydration.

Flight Recovery is available in selected pharmacies and via our website. The travel pack contains four travel wallets, and is available from A$49.95 (including GST). Three 12g sachets are presented in each convenient travel wallet for use in-flight, and three sachets are sufficient for a 12-hour flight.
